Need to, Welcome! I'm so sorry you had to meet us this way, but never ever think that you are alone. We are all here to support each other and there is more information than you can possibly imagine here. I have smoked for 40 years, and am now coming up to 18 days smoke free. And my quit date is your surgery date, so of course this was meant to be! Stay close here, take very good care of yourself so that you heal from the surgery (did you know that nicotine slows and even stops healing of tissue?) and do please post a lot.
