Katie,
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your father. My condolences go out to you and your family during this time. I am going through something very similar with my grandfather right now... he is 89 and has been married to my grandmother for 67, almost 68 years. So, I can definitely relate.
In the midst of crises, isn't it nice to have that good feeling that you don't want to smoke? I had the same thought while going through this time with my grandfather... I have thought about smoking, only to terms of "I really don't want to smoke!" It's odd that I don't, but that desire hasn't really hit me either. So again, I can relate. I think that our bodies finally "get it" that we are non-smokers now. I don't even feel like an ex-smoker anymore... I feel like somebody who has never smoked (but still can relate to those who do smoke or are currently quitting if that makes sense). You and I quit right around the same time in June of 2005 and I think that we've finally taken that next step to final freedom! Isn't that awesome?!?! Congrats on your awesome stats! Way to go on almost 600 days! Can you believe it?!?!
Crave the Quit!
Pam
