Hey Paul, I know you feel down about smoking those cigarettes. But look at how many you have NOT smoked over the last 39 days. You can't just write those off....they still count. So, you really have to pick youself up now, dust yourself off, and keep going. Keep adding to that tally of cigarettes not smoked. That's something to feel good about there.
I know you felt stressed out about your job and you felt you needed to be comforted by falling back on old smokie. But, it just added to your problems because now you feel down because you did smoke. Try some other coping skills for stress/nervousness other than smoking.
Avoid those triggers....Well, if you're worried about your job I think you should talk to your boss. It goes a long way when you ask you boss, "How do you think I can improve on my job performance?" The worst thing for you right now is waiting, wondering if you're going to lose your job. Take that "Not Knowing" thing away and speak to your boss.....find out one way or another. At least you'll know something for sure and then you can deal with it.
Stay Strong,
Tutti
