    Cigarettes Not Smoked

I would say your husband was lucky, but I have heard of others who have had the same experiences... but I also know MANY people who have done that in order to not ever want to smoke again... and they went back to smoking full time!!! So do NOT risk your quit to do that! I'd say I've known more people to go back to smoking full time after smoking than I do people who have been successful with that method... it's just not worth it. Don't risk your precious and valuable quit for a few rotten cigarettes! Crave the Quit! Very lucky! The journey is different for all and sharing experiences can help each one of us progress through this. Do what you need to do to keep quit. Your at 40 days and this is amazing, so keep up the great work and make this journey your own :) Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.

I slipped when I have attempted to quit before, then didn't smoke for weeks before "slipping" again although they tasted awful and I vowed not to smoke again I would "slip" more until I was back smoking full time, with this quit I don't touch a cigarette, I know that if I do then I will do it again down the road, but that is me. You and your hubby are doing great!! Keep up the great work!! Bobbi I think most folks would have started smoking again, I know that if I had one I would more than likely kick the addiction back into high gear, congrats for your hubby and also to you for 40 awesome days. Just wanted to say my husband quit 37 years ago, he had a very hard time for 10 years wanted a cig. most everyday, his motto was If I ever smoke again I will never quit again, terriable motto but anyway the jest of the story one night after 10 years he went out with some buddies, they all smoked kept after him to smoke and he finally did, had three and he said they tasted so awful that he would have to make himself smoke again and was to terriable to do so BUT after that night he has never had a craving or thought of smoking again! don't know how that happened most people do start again. Oh how I wish I could do that now and never have a fight with ole nic again. Was he lucky??????
