Thank you Butterfly, Changing and Lookingglass.. I just read a post which was bumped written by Duffis.. "refocus and live..." I need time, peace and quiet and definitely need to refocus and live. I feel there is much to change in my home environment and I know that down the line those changes will take effect.. But in the meantime I need to take care of one thing at a time and find a solution for each. Thank you for all of your responses.. and yes I am in therapy and no my med's cannot be upped as they are at the max dose now. Monica, Yeah for you for posting BEFORE you smoke! That's definitely a step in the right direction! That one thing to me says that you really do want to keep this quit and that it's important to you. That's great! My question to you is "will smoking help?" Ask yourself that. Will smoking make your husband get better? Will it solve anything? Of course not. But you've come SO far and have gone through SO much! You're a fighter! Keep fighting as long as you have to. But you don't have to do it alone. We're here to help you fight. Lean on us and we'll help you though. I hope things get better soon. Crave the Quit! Monica - You said there's no one out there to hear me. I am hearing you. I am hearing your struggle - your pain, your frustration, your exhaustion, your sadness. People tell you to "hang in there" and "be strong" because they want you to get through this. I think we all wish there were magic words to tell you to make you feel better -- nothing seems adequate. Keep posting. Keep releasing. We may not respond with the right words, but all of us here can really relate on some level, and we really are hearing you. You sound desperate for a solution - a solution to putting some serenity back into your life. Smoking is not a solution. Tell your doctor how truly miserable you feel and up your meds if you need to. Are you in counseling? If not - you should look into it - you deserve all of the support you can get! If you look at all of our Quit Meters, you'll see that some of us are ahead of you and some of us are behind you. The point is, we are all around you - you are supported from all sides! So, no matter which way you lean, we are there to hold you up. Monica, bottom line for all of us... is that we're taking care of ourselves. There's support, but no one can do it for us. Not for any of us. There are lots of people around me who don't know what it's like for me. Does that matter? Nope. They don't live my life and they don't pay the ultimate price if I fail. I do. And I refuse to cooperate in my own death. I've done that, and I won't do it any more. Take care of yourself, Monica. And know that you're worth it. Because you are! yes i know Lady that smoking won't help... i just feel like i'm coming apart at the seams and want to yell out how much pain i'm feeling right now - but there's no one out there to hear me. everyone just says 'hang in there', 'be strong for Steve'..blah blah blah.. but i'm sorry to say this.. but what about Monica? who's taking care of me? i don't know.. now i'm just rambling. while i was out for my walk it started to pour rain.. making myself a cup of decaf coffee, have a bite to eat and then throw in a movie. i have zero energy and i don't care anymore. thanks for all your support/advice Monica My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/12/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 73 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,468 Amount Saved: $657 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 6 Mins: 0 Seconds: 36

Mon, hope your walk helps & that you feel better soon. fyi, smoking did 'mask' alot of stuff (as you're probably aware). It helped us avoid things we didn't want to deal with or think about plus you're probably feeling some 'emotional overload' & nearing the 3 month hurdle. so hang in there M, it does get easier ... honest gotta go & get some sleep kiwi out My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 814 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 20,356 Amount Saved: $5291 Life Gained: Days: 117 Hrs: 14 Mins: 49 Seconds: 2

I understand Monica. It is all too much. I totally agree. About the only thing I have to hold onto right now is my quit. I would love to go smoke but I know it wouldn't help. Hang on sweetie. This will pass and you will be stronger for it. I promise. thinking of you. I'm sorry, i can sympathize & relate. So you need a break from your situation, is there any way you can get help via family or friends ? You have to have some time to yourself with no demands, even if only for an hour or so a day, you have to have support of some kind. I'm a bit surprised about your government, they must be able to provide some help shurely.
