NRT - CT - a visual comparison

for 17 år siden 0 3207 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
that's interesting, ex I know that CT quitters are sold on it as the way to go, and that is one piece of evidence in support of that position. I just love graphs! CT is not for the faint of heart, as I have heard many times about quitting in general, but I definitely think that applies to those who can do it. You folks are a breed apart, I think Keep on going with this great quit, ex. And I agree that they are just thoughts or urges at this point. Why give them any more strength than they deserve? Lol - which channel?!! Yeah, yr time's ticking away fast - only seems a sec since your quit date was in the future - didn't you have a quit underway before? Don't be surprised if it peaks a little just before it drops down - I know everyone's quit is different but I do remember it getting slightly harder for a day or so before it got much much better... anyway, not long now... Any chance on sorting out the new weather graphics on TV? :) :) I'm glad you said 30 days btw. I only have 5 days to go to find out. I guess I hit the 3s around the 30 day mark - it really toppled down quite quickly after hell and heck weeks... Thanks for the support as well Anna and Josie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 46 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 690 Amount Saved: 115.00 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 1 Mins: 54 Seconds: 3

Hi penitent - yes I think you are right and probably by giving CT 2/10 for craves when it should be 0/10 as they are not craves at all. Thanks JDK (it's Kev, right?), I guess I quantify it by marking down mental discomfort rather than craves. They are not bad at all, but you know what, I'm reducing it to a token 1 from now because I am not having craves at all and I will keep it there till I no longer have those thoughts regularly. I think it says a lot about the different types of quit, because on NRT, those were real craves. That said, I know some people feel it's the only option - certainly I felt that way a year ago, but I am now glad I went on to quit CT this time. Nice chart ex-roller! I'd need to record my craving level on an hourly basis probably, but if I levelled it out, I would end up around 6-7 for today with an average of 5 for the week so far. It may sound high, but it is half of week one :) So when did you hit the 3's then ex-roller? I guess you have a quantified meaning for each level right? Congratulations Ex and thanks for the visual comparison. I think you are being generous to NRT by giving CT 2/10 when they are just thoughts and not cravings! I thought about smoking yesterday when that bloke lit up next to me outside at the cafe but it was never a crave! It's great huh? that after just 46 days you are almost done! Keep up the great work! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/18/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 1175 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 23,500 Amount Saved: 5,875.00 Life Gained: Days: 188 Hrs: 17 Mins: 56 Seconds: 4

I should add here that at the moment I am logging craving levels of around 2/10. These are not physical at all - I would say they are just thoughts about smoking.
