Hi Xena :)
Glad you are back! Antidepressants work in the brain by normalizing circulating levels of neurotransmitters. The side effects differ in each person, and what works for one person, may not work for another person. If you feel spaced out like you are watching yourself from a distance, then that particular antidepressant may not be the one for you (although I must say that I have felt very floaty just by quitting smoking)-- it may be hard to tell which is making you feel floaty-- the antidepressant, or the withdrawal symptoms. Talk to the doctor about possible side effects, and go online to the wellbutrin site and read about possible side effects. For people who are depressed, anti-depressants can be a lifesaver. Here's the main message though-- when succussfully taking antidepressants, the main feeling should be-- 'I feel NORMAL again!!!!'
I hope that helps a little. I'll be here for your quit!!!
