Can't seem to shake this

I find myself in the same situation a lot. There's certain streets where I would have attacks, so everytime i drove down them i expected myself to have an attack. Then I just thought to myself "if i try to stay away from everyplace i've ever been when i had an attack, i wouldnt be able to be at home, in my car, at my friends houses, at the mall, etc". There's days where i drive down the roads and i just say to myself "you're gonna be fine this time"... and i do get thru it. You will too. Just give it time

Just keep doing it. the more you expose yourself to the situation that you first expirenced, the less and less intense it will be. It is all about showing the mind that you are safe and that there is no real danger. Just keep reminding yourself that you are safe, because you really are. What your feeling is the anxiety of having another panic attack. I know because I get that too. Exposure is key--never limit yourself. >Matt

Once a month or so back I picked up my girlfriend at school, and I had a terrible panic attackI had to pull over and just breathe and talk to her .. she got me some water, i got her home and i was fine shortly after.. But now i find it near impossible to get her at school, infact. yesterday she called and asked me too. When She asked i got the hot flash and my muscles went all shakky.. has anyone had a flash reaction like that before.. and is there a way to over come this? Its getting very depressing. (after that attack when i picked her up, i managed to pick her up another time with no real issue at all but for some reason its still horrible just as bad as the attack) Can anyone help or relate? Thank you very much
