Yay, Syd! So glad you are already enjoying the freedom from the slavery that smoking really is!
It gets better yet! Keep on going, and make sure you have something planned in case of an emergency! Look at you go!

Hi Syndey,

Glad to hear from you! I'm so happy that you are still smoke free and enjoying all the benefits of living as a non smoker.

Using all the money you save to buy things that you enjoy sounds like a great reward to me!

It's great to see that your sister is also thinking about quitting. I bet you were an inspiration to her. Tell her to join the site and read the information on here. Maybe she will find this useful!

You're always welcome to check back in and share with us how you are doing, or give advice to the new members.

So it has been  76 days smoke free yay! almost 3 months really!

So it has been tough at times and I will tell you it is still tough at times, but not for long periods of times really. I usually completely forget about how desperately I wanted a cigarette like 5 minutes ago.

I really don't miss it really and it definately does not take up much of my thoughts. The last time I craved was when I smelled a a cigarette burning from a girl I was talking to. But once again the cravings are very short and don't last long, but they can be intense when they happen.

I am definately glad money wise because I really can't afford to do it right now anyways, I only have a certain amount of money left in my account till next month and besides my fixed costs such as rent, anything else I buy it optional and fufills me, no longer do I have to be scrounging for money for smokes, or feel guilty for spending my last dimes on cigarettes. Which I always seem to regret.

Smoking just seems so far away from how I live now, and incredibly easy to abstain from really. No doubt it was hard at first but it really does get easier with time. I can't believe it has only been 2 months!!!

My sister is thinking about quitting smoking, I hope she does. I hope anyone who wants to does, they are really missing out on how great really it is to not be enslaved to nicotine anymore.
