I once read something that said that, in the process of shedding and replacing cells, we all pretty much contain all new cells after 7 years. I kind of interpreted this to mean that I am actually an entirely different person than I was 7 years ago. In your case, you are a new person whose cells have never been bombarded with nicotine and all the other chemicals in cigarettes. You are truly smoke-free. Congratulations.
Hi Jan,
So what is this, not smoking for a whole BIG, BIG seven YEARS! Is it not astonishing and compelling for others, that people such as ourselves, set out to perform and finish off with a grand performance. Excited for you and congratulations.
Seven years and going strong! What a great quit you have going. It's nice to hear success stories from fellow quitters, it gives new quitters something to strive for. It also gives HOPE to those thinking of quitting. It can be done if you really try and put honest effort into it..
Congratulations on your accomplishment Jan and keep it going.
7 years ago today, I stopped smoking with the help of my many SSC friends. One day at a time, one crave at a time...and plenty of water! I have many wonderful SSC friends that I still keep in contact with. Quitting smoking is one of the best things you'll do for yourself!
