Hey Vickers! Way to gooo! I'm so happy that you have had good days. And i'm so sure that many more are coming your way! I'm gonna try what you are doing.......like u said when u go for a walk, u focus on the beauty of spring/nature. I am going to do that on my next walk...thanks for the advice! YOu see, you are strong enough to beat this anxiety!! It just takes time. And i promise you that one day you will be free from all this crap lol. All of us will. We just have to work on our strength, and faith in ourselves!!!! Thanks for the positive note, you boosted me up !!! :)

Hello again everyone! Just wanted to let you know that I've had a pretty good couple of days. Yeh! :) Every time I started to get panicky and dizzy, I would get on the website and read all of your responses again and would start feeling better about things. Thank you a ton!! Still not over it all, but I did go for a walk the last couple days and it felt so dang good! Every time I started getting weak during the walk today, I wold focus on the beauty of Spring and not the impending anxiety. It really helped. I also started taking a multivitamin / multimineral every day because of your suggestions. I think one of the reasons I have been feeling plain ol' crappy the last few weeks is because I quit exercising and taking vitamins (except for the iron my doctor is making me take) and eating so much chocolate lately. I have been so full of indigestion lately because of all the chocolate, it is making me sick. I noticed that when I eat too much chocolate, I get a lot of heartburn and tightness up in my chest, stomach and throat. Anyone else get this? I saw a doctor about this once a few months ago and he verified it wasn't a heart thing. Of course, the panic makes me think it is..... Crimeny! Anyways, I really appreciate everyone's comments and suggestions! Just wanted to let you know that I have had a couple good days thanks to all of your support!! Thanks again!!!

Hey Vickers and Everyone!! I can totally relate to what you are going through too. That vertigo feeling like everything is moving around you. Its just awful. And I cant seem to stay standing sometimes. I have to either hold on to someone or sit down. Its so embarassingg. Also, my vision is blurry sometimes. I hate this because this used to be a symptom i experienced long time ago and i was sooooooo afraid of it. I had it for a long time and it was part of big anxiety symptom. However, it went away about 2 months ago...i was so happy....i can actually see hehe. And nowwww, it seems to be creeping back...especially when i'm driving. I really hate this. I get so nervous when i drive now, especially when others are in the car with me because I dont' want to put them in danger by me not seeing clearly and freaking out. Does anyone relate here??? I know i'm a great driver. I just lose confidence and i get so scared when i get see clearly in front of me. Mind you, i DO wear glasses only when i drive!!! Anyhow, you are not alone! As you can see, everyone experiences these feelings. We will get through this!!! ;)

Hey Vickers... you are NOT alone in your feelings of unreality/unfamiliarity. Anxiety has a way of playing tricks on our mind... and the unfamiliarity thing (if only for a few frightening moments) is enough to make one think they're losing their mind. Think about it though... our brains/bodies must be EXHAUSTED! As my therapist told me one time... anxiety causes one to be hypervigilant... Imagine being on the front lines of a war, knowing the enemy is right outside the door.hypervigilantYou'd be on edge constantly, waiting to attack or be attacked. No wonder your body is off balance. Try to give your body/mind a break... start by taking back some of the time anxiety tries to rob you of each day, maybe 10 minutes and say 'my body/mind needs to rest... needs a break... this is anxiety-free time'. Hang in there, dear... you can do this. And, you're not crazy from what I can tell, seem to have a SHARP mind and your body still gets you where you need to go somehow... now use some good self-care! Hang in there Vickers! You will get back on top of this again. Sometimes we jsut have to go through these cycles. Do you have any idea what is causing you to experience this much anxiety again? I know you will be able to turn this thing around! :p

I get it too Vickers. I was at the store the other day with a friend and was "freaking out" as I usually call it. I have a tendancy to head towards the wall as opposed to being in the middle of a place. I was so zoned into not passing out and I ran into a rack and bruised my arm really bad. I always worry that people will think I am drunk.

I have both. Vertigo is very bad for me at the moment, standing at the bench or outside then all of a sudden you feel like the ground has moved or I have. This past week has been bad, although I never considered needing glasses, I thought my neck might be out? It is horrid - you think people have noticed and you have to hold something or sit down. My head feels like it is moving inside. This was worrying me very much this week, it feels like it is from when I wake up & I am still dizzy lying in bed at night. And it helps me too to know I am not alone with this (also not meaning it is a good thing you have it!).

I'm glad to see so many of us have this same problem! Well, not happy that you have it, but that I'm not alone. I'm having a really hard time with this today. I keep getting dizzy, weak and even kind of achy. I have a major headache. I think maybe that has something to do with it. Actually, I felt pretty good for quite awhile today, but the last few hours it came back. I started getting really dizzy when I was driving home from work and it just kept getting worse so now I'm just trying to get through the rest of the night. It's so hard having to function when you feel like this! I managed to get dinner made and then got the dishes done and now I'm just sitting in my bedroom trying to calm down so I don't make everyone crazy. Or, so everyone doesn't make me crazy. ;) That's a fine line today.... One thing that really worries me is that I used to just get lightheaded and weak. But, the last week or so I have been having the vertigo type dizziness where it feels like things are moving around me. Does anyone else get this? I especially get this when I'm in a car or on the train. Maybe I just need glasses or something. I'm not sure if I've always had this kind of dizziness and have just been more aware of it lately because it's been such a main focus of the panic for me or if it's something new. It's a bit concerning though. Do your dizzy spells involve the lightheaded / weak feeling or the vertigo type feeling - or both? I have both anymore. It just makes me want to scream!!

I have slipped back into what I thought I was getting past also, it was so good for almost a week and now I am always tired, but it is the dizziness and my eyes that seem to have real trouble focusing that is terrifying me. It is on my mind ALL the time, I have trouble concentrating. My muscles are extremely tense as well - I read the previous posts & relaxed my shoulders - I was sitting so tense!! I didn't even realise. This dizziness is constant, I feel I am going to fall over or faint many times a day. Have been considering seeing an oesteopath or chiropractor so I can feel relaxed and almost start from scratch?

Hey Vickers. I also get tired all of the time. For awhile I was starting to think I had some horrible disease but after many many physicals and constantly being given a clean bill of health, it occurred to me that constantly being on high alert for anxiety symptoms just takes it out of me. I also find that when I'm exhausted I get those feelings of unreality where things start to seem strange and unfamiliar. These feelings scare me the most because I start to think that I am going to spontaneously get amnesia or something (irrational thought I know, but when you're in the middle of a panic attack it seems quite plausible). Anyway, I've been doing a lot of positive self-talk lately and I also find that vitamins help, though I haven't tried the women's vitamins but I think I will now that I've read some of these posts. I try to get some light exercise into the day, even if its just walking home from work or doing the housework. The main thing is to know that you are not "sick". You're tired, yes, but that isn't fatal. We'll all get through this eventually and its nice to know that we can come and get support here when we need it.
