Hi there. I'm afraud I did have a breakdown as a direct result of having panic attacks, BUT and this is a big but, that happened because here in the u.k there doesn't seem to be the support network, understanding, or referral agencies that you have in the states. You may think our NHS may be something to be admired, and sometimes I guess it is, but it does seem to be much better geared up for a physical complaint. So I guess my advice would be to seek and make use of this site and any agency, therapist, doctor or helpline that you can. Lots of people have panic attacks without a nervous breakdown, I was just unlucky, but even saying that, I've survived, and feel stronger for it. Hang in there, you can recover, I know you can.
