You know, you're the only one who can do this...trust me I've just figured this out and it's going to be hard work. It's a true effort but like you said, you have to do what is best for your health. I come back and forth to this program, but it will be a continuous effort for me, but in time, we will learn how to deal with these panic and anxiety attacks. I find I have to stop my negative thinking in it's track, and when this happens, I stop what I'm doing and do something completely different to change my thought and activities. This usually helps, it's hard but I know I have to do this to change. You can do this, one day at a time, we all can do this...it doesn't matter what people think, your friends and family will understand and will support you. I find this site a very useful and helpful place. Good luck

Hi kittcat, Thanks for letting us know how you are doing. Good for you for putting your plan into action. Remember that this is a learning process and there will some successes and some challenges along the way. The important thing is that you are doing something about your anxiety. You said in your post "I have to do what is best for my health" I can't reinforce this enough! Taking care of yourself is a top priority! As hard as it is, try not to let what other people may or may not be thinking about your situation get in the way of your progress. Your health and well being is what counts. Keep us posted, Casey __________________________ The PC Support Team

Hello, The goal of my exposure plan is to return to work. Right now I'm visiting work every few days and joining my coworkers for coffee. I went there today and joined them (this is the second time) and when I left, I did not feel good...and still don't. My first impulse was to try to forget about it and go to the gym (it always relaxes me). But I think I better deal with this feeling, since it probably won't get any better otherwise. I know it's because of my anxious thinking. I am thinking that they are judging me and they are upset with me for taking time off. I guess I should go do another anxious thoughts worksheet. There is no evidence for them judging me this way. But even if they did, I have to do what is best for my health-otherwise I may start having panic attacks again. Interestingly, I didn't feel this way the first time I came there.
