I'm reading this post for the first time, and the timing is great, one day before my quit.
I understand what you're saying. Once the decision is made that "smoking is not an option", you go out of your way to find other things to do, you use all the coping tools at your disposal, and you don't have that internal fight that says, "Will I or won't I smoke." The decision has already been made. Really, I think it reduces the stress levels tenfold.
Now that I fully understand this, I will follow this method.
