Hiya, Kelly and Major Congratulations on stepping out of the Killer Stress job into a whole new job where you can enjoy your home life and private time without always feeling that emergency-atmosphere of the other job clawing at your neck and shoulders!!
I'm stunned and very proud of you that you went through all that soul-burning stress and never gave in to trying to solve the unsolvable with a cigarette!!  Now you have time to smell the roses and not sit on the sofa curled up like an exhausted cat....
Glad that you got through the MD weekend with all the relatives and steeled yourself against all the smoke too...

Patrick

Hey Kelly,
Congrats on the new job. Life is just hard sometimes but you are doing what it takes to survive. Taking care of you is the most important thing.
I struggled for the first 6 months and I've made it to the point that I really don't think about having that smoke after dinner or in the morning. As we do normal daily chores without smoking we leave the thoughts behind. Keep up the hard work. It is so worth it.

Congrats, Kelly--I surely have learned that money is far less important than happiness on any job....I've also learned the happier you are, the more money you will make....ummmm

You've got an awesome quit going-- I know you've struggled at times--but you keep holding strong and making it through--that makes you really STRONG in my book and a great quitter....

Kelly congrats on the new job.  Less stress is by far a better deal.  I like to think in terms of "Lasts" instead of "firsts".  You've have your last smoke at all these occassions.  Now it's just life without that nasty mess of cigarettes and smoke.

I did get the job I applied and interviewed for last week for those of you that knew I was doing it.  It was a signifigant reduction in pay, but hopefully in the stress area too.  I made it through the Holiday weekend, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.  It was still a challenge, like I am sure all firsts are.  Hope all is ok with everyone, that they had a good Holiday weekend and are recovering splendidly!!
