I am right where a lot of you are. I was very disturbed by the casual attitude in another posting and I had to vent to someone I had met here because if I had been only 1 week into my quit, I would have started thinking the same way as the person who posted another topic. I started out as a social smoker 20 years ago and 33 days ago realized, well, I could never be a casual/social smoker. It pained me to see how relaxed that posting was and how strong nicodemon is in our minds to lie to ourselves and say we can quit whenever. If I could quit whenever, why did it take me 20 years? I love to see the meters because it gives me satisfaction to know it can be done. But to see a meter with high numbers but hear now and then that they slipped soemtime in the past, how true is that meter? Kind of disappointed me in a way. Pathetic, yes I know, but being a newbie, those meters mean the world to us.
Hugs,
Kim
