I would not do so as a Christmas present....but...
What originally got my attention (I had 'thought' about quitting every once in awhile) was a package that my daughter had sent to me in the mail from the American Lung Association. It contained 5 booklets about smoking and help to quit, information on different smoking cessation aids, stickers, etc...
I asked her why she sent it to me and she went and retrieved a recording she made of me in a coughing fit and said, because I love you. :confuse: How do you argue with that? They laid on the counter for a month or two, then a trip to the Dr. telling me I had emphysema prompted me to actually read them. Several attempts later, I finally feel good about my quit and I NEVER cough anymore (like that, anyway) :)
It's a personal decision, Kiwi, that they have to make for themselves, but you can help without nagging with subtle hints...
