What do you feel like at the 100 day mark?

Thanks Pam, you're a true inspiration! Get a load of those stats...I'll keep the faith, if you say so I just bet it IS. :) x T My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 129 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,981 Amount Saved: 709.5 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 21 Mins: 44 Seconds: 14
Ask me at 700 days I bet I'll be singing a different tune entirely
YES YOU WILL!!! That's for sure! At 700 days, all the bad will a distant memory. Except for the occasional craving every month or two (or three or four), you'll hardly even think about smoking (except when you come to this site to help others break their addictions). The physical side effects of quitting will be a thing of the past, as will most of the effects of smoking (like the cough or the gurgle in the chest). You'll be amazed at how healthy you look, feel and well, just plain ARE! I say all these things not to rub it in, but rather to give you something to look forward to. You're on the right track and honestly, it probably won't take another 572 days to get there... you'll start seeing most of these things sooner than that... WAY sooner! Just hang in there! The worst is over! Each withdrawal symptom is another sign that your body is healing. I know, I know, that's not much of a conciliation at this point, but it's the best I've got. Keep going! Don't give up! Because you WILL feel this great at 700 days! I promise! Crave the Quit! Hmmm, let me see... I feel like a stuffed sausage from the 12 lb weight gain, a hot air balloon from the new digestive problems and a human outhouse from the perennial wind. Sorry to be so graphic but I'm getting fed UP man. My poor poor husband. I haven't even got a dog to blame it on! I feel like I'm drinking gravel with every fibre supplement (but at least it's orange flavour so it's TASTY gravel!) I feel like the fire eater at the circus. The heartburn is ridiculous. I feel like if I see one more doctor for one more 'what is this symptomatic of?' checkup I'll go completely mental. I feel like I'm going through a mid life crisis with all the wardrobe/hair/appearance changes I'm making along with the quit. If I keep this up, DH may wonder if I've got a little sumpin' sumpin' on the side (Nope, I'm far to FAT now for any such thing!) I feel annoyed that I've got increased lung capacity but still have such a gi-normous tickle in my chest. When oh when will it GO? Oh yeah, Tuesday, I forgot. The sixteenth Tuesday in the year 2015 maybe. I feel...my fingers and toes again! My circulation is so much better. And wot hey, my skin is pink. A good thing? Could it be? Nah. Overall I feel like total crap physically, like my body is in chaos from the sudden stop of 20 years of abuse. I can only imagine toxins seeping through my pores with every vigorous workout. But I'll keep working out. I'll keep on NOT smoking. I feel over the moon that I don't smoke anymore and instead of feeling a personal pity party when I see someone smoking, I think 'so long sucka, I've quit already!' It sucks to feel so crap and so good all at the same time, I must admit it's a bit confusing. I'd rate it 80/20 positive v. negative. I don't like feeling lousy but I must admit I felt worse when I smoked. Ask me at 700 days I bet I'll be singing a different tune entirely ;) x T My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 128 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,959 Amount Saved: 704 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 19 Mins: 47 Seconds: 23

Today is day 120 for me!!! I never want to smoke again. I am so much healthier now. When I smoked I was always a little sick to my stomach in the evenings from smoking all day, I stunk, my face was gray, I coughed all the time. No thank you. I would rather have a small crave every now and then, than to feel like that again. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/8/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 120 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,806 Amount Saved: $504 Life Gained: Days: 11 Hrs: 3 Mins: 25 Seconds: 2

The "hundred day hurdle" as I call it is one of the worst! I can honestly say that in my almost 2 years on this site (despite what my "joined date says), I cannot say I have ever read ANYBODY say that they didn't have a pretty rough time between 80 and 110 days. It's really a very difficult time to get through! But there is light at the end of the tunnel! After that battle comes a big white flag from the nicodemon! That's not to say that there aren't "rebellions" after that... oh boy! I've had some big ones... the one year mark nearly made me cave completely and give up this whole fight... but I'm SO glad that I stuck it out and didn't give in! And you will be too! But just don't feel like you're doing something "wrong" because you're having a difficult time around 100 days. There's no "wrong" way to do this... unless you smoke! Congrats to all of you for making it this far! Crave the Quit! In order to make mini-lessons work, students must first have a need to know. If the mini-lesson relates to their own writings, then they now have that need to know and will take what is said during the mini-lesson more seriously than if it were just theoretical information that may or may not ever pertain to them personally. Mini-lessons must be about something that every good writer does, or must involve some practice that will enhance the students' writing. Therefore, in order to make it successful, the students must have something that they are writing about - an assignment due in the near or somewhat near future. The next consideration that must be made is to have a curriculum for it. It must be planned and must meet state, local and/or federal requirements as well as the students' individual needs. Since time is very crucial and there is simply not enough time in the school year to do useless activities, all lessons must be justified. This justification comes through the use of GLEs and MIGs to determine what skills are being taught. Another consideration is that the routine must be simple and predictable . It must be done everyday, or at least on the same days and times every week so that the students know what to expect. This gets their minds working and prepares them for the learning that will take place. The best method is to do it every singl

I still find the 100 day mark difficult at times. I suffer from depression also, so sometimes the bad just runs together and trips me.. I just got out of the hospital and realized while I was there (38-40 hrs), I did not even think of a cig... Then for no reason I can find--there comes a big crave and won't let go for a good while. Perhaps that is it-- I am now finding less craves but stronger when they do come... So this is what 100 days is like! It's wonderful, really wonderful, to pass this milestone. Should I have cravings again and I might very well, there is this day to look back on. This precious, precious, day will keep me going during bad times. It is something I do not want to give back to nicotine. If I smoke, I have to give this victory back and I just won't do it. I thank everyone for their input. I went to see my Dr. last week and he said among other people that I do look healthier and my ex says it is me and not what the doctor says which is true. He also says that there is no such thing as an ex-smoker which in ways of his explaination makes sense. I enjoy reading on how it is fathomable tha t this can be our final quit once and for all everyone. Also it is great that we share and work on this not alone but somehow with this net program, it really gives us a boost of strength and a sense of accomplishment during the 'quit'. Cigarettes Not Smoked

I'll be at 100 days in four days. It feels wonderful. Not to spend money on cigarettes is purely joyous. All that money, that added nothing to my life gone, up in smoke! Next to my cough being gone, it's what I like most. I no longer feel really foolish to be paying such sums for basically something that made me sick! Sometimes I would look at that five dollar bill, just before I forked it over for a pack, and I'd think, isn't this the silliest thing ever in the world. Not a thing to show for it. That's over now. It's really over. Now, I buy the gum! Which is still pretty silly, but I know that someday that too will be done and over with. It's still not as expensive as cigs!
