Smoking has been part of my life for over 30 years. Nic was my buddy when drinking my coffee in the morning. Keeping me company while watching TV, reading, surfing on the computer. Nic has been there when I was happy, sad, mad, or just plain bored.
But in those 30 years after spending so much time with nic, he did nothing good for me. Nic just filled my body with nasty chemicals, made me stink, took my sense of smell away. All that money went up in smoke.
After all them years of being with nic I am ready to put him behind me. I am sure he will always be in my thoughts, but with time I can learn to keep them thoughts and cravings for him in the back of my mind, until They are no more.
But I need to stay on guard in case he comes lurking through my brain cells wanting to take control. Then I can kick him in the ash and put him back in his place and move on with my Life without him.
