My New Years resolutions are to eat healthier and to get more exercise on a regular basis and of course to rest when needed and last but not least, to enjoy my life to the fullest...

Great advice on core beliefs..
 
I sure would be helpful if there was more information on core beliefs here on this site like they have in the depression center..
Working on core beliefs helps a person get to the root of their problems..and therefore makes change much easier.

I would like to add that the core beliefs they have in the depression center would probably need to be tailored to the panic center. I am sure this would take lots of time and resources to do...

One thing I did learn over there is about assumptions..Negative thought build on past negative experiences..
Example would be...If and Than thoughts..If I do this , Than this or that will happen..
 
Take me for example I struggled to survive most of my life and also I grew up thinking I didn't deserve to have things..
So I have two negative assumptions going on which I have to challenge...
 
Negative assumption. If I spend money I will be penniless..This is really not true..I just need to be careful how and what I spend money on..
 
Negative assumption. I am not deserving.. This is just not true..I am very deserving. I have worked hard to have what I have and I deserve to have nice things once in while..new shoes, new socks, etc..and some others things that I just enjoy..
 
I don't know if I explained this very well but you know what the first thing I bought for myself eight years ago was some new socks..and some new T shirts..It is still difficult to spend money at times but I remind myself that there are things in life that I just need and deserve to have and as long as I am careful everything will be just fine..

Struggling from social anxiety?

I get this way most every time I walk into class and especially on the first day of class even though I have taken the same quilting class for a couple of years now..This fear goes back to my childhood school days.
I missed the first day of class last week because I was having a tree removed in the yard that day..Thats what tell myself anyway..The tree trimmer finished early so I could of gone to class but I just couldn't get myself to go this time. I wonder if it is fear or maybe it is just time for a change.What ever it is, I am hoping to do better this week..

Nice to hear from you..I was wondering how you were doing with the new meds and all..
 
Congratulations on taking the big step and going back to college..I remember you wanting to change careers and look at you your doing it..This is a major step and you should make a wonderful Physical therapy assistant..You have such a interest in healthy living and helping others..
 
You mentioned  being in class for 3 hours at a time and that you were nervous about it..I felt the same way when I started taking a 3 hour quilting class 2 yrs ago. What I did was excuse myself to use the rest room every hr or so and this gave me a chance to move around,wash my hands get a drink and such. Just a  little breather from it all is all I needed than I would go back into the class room and I would be ok for another hour or so..As time passed I was able to go longer and longer without a break. It is very possible that your instructor will have scheduled breaks and if do they it will even be easier..Our instructor doesn't have scheduled  breaks so I just take a break when I need one..

Well I need to go now and take one of those breaks I was talking about..Thanks for stopping by with the update and please do stop by again and let us know how it is going tomarrow..or whenever you get a chance of just feel like saying Hi..

Great idea..I have been thinking about starting a journal lately..Do you have any tips on how to get started? They would be greatly appreciated..
I do not want to use my blog as a place to journal so that idea is out. I don't like the idea of others commenting on it..For me it is a very personal thing..Just a place where I am free to get my thoughts and feeling out without worrying about what others think of feel about these thoughts... I think this idea of journaling might help me sort things out..
